Under Pressure Magnitude 10

We've all been though this and many of us are going through this which is why I'm writing to give you a few kind words and motivation.

It is once again exam season where we need to focus time and energy to yield results and as we all know, easier said than done. As we cram knowledge from books and papers into our heads, it is very easy to feel demotivated once you come to a difficult point, or just by facing the abundance of material needed to cover in the next few days.

Of course its easy to say "don't give up", "keep at it" and "+oil" but that doesnt always make you feel better or for me, even motivate me to continue.

Some words of advice from me would be to firstly think about who you are doing this for in the end. Are you doing it for family? Loved ones? Friends? In the end, the one benefiting from this is going to be you. Even if you aren't doing this for yourself, you will be the one learning and growing from this. If you are really studying for others, then think about the looks on their faces and their reactions when you do well. Realistically you should be studying for yourself but imagining the smiles and cheers from my family and peer when I go receive that first does give me a slight boost.

Secondly, stay positive. Never think "f this, didn't want to know it anyway" or "this is too hard, allow it". Instead try it, if its hard, ask for help and of course practice practice practice. After a few goes, it will definitely get easier. If you think you can't do it, you will never try your best to do it and you wont be able to yield the best results. If its definitely too hard, I would suggest practising, doing what you can and then focusing on something else. Just do your best at whatever comes, if you know you've done your best and still cant crack it, well at least you'll have no regrets.

Thirdly, time management. Really do dedicate time for work. I normally work for about 40 min and then take 20 min of break. Keeps me refreshed. Know your exam timetable and prioritize. Don't overwork yourself but don't slack either. Take regular breaks. You can probably figure out your own split and what works for you but when you do work, dont get distracted. That what you have regular breaks for.

Finally, you aren't in this alone. Everyone has exams, stress, problems. Talk to others if you need help. You'll get through this, its just another hurdle in life you must overcome. Just remember that in a few days it will all be the past and you have a whole summer to do f all. If you give it all now, you'll have no regrets after the exams and your summer will feel much more deserved. If you think about it, its a very small amount of time you use studying compared to doing nothing all summer so you might as well just push through now.

Well, good luck to all!

Heed my words and I guarantee that you'll all walk away with firsts and triple digit scores.

Ben & Jerry's Greek Froyo - Strawberry Shortcake

Not gonna lie, this froyo is absolutely amazing. It is basically extremely soft strawberry sorbet-like froyo with the occasional frozen strawberry bit and bite size shortbread. The buttery taste of the shortbread goes extremely well with the fruity taste of the yoghurt, turning this froyo almost into a complete dessert. Furthermore, the smooth crunch of the shortbread contrasts the rough crunch of the frozen strawberry giving the froyo some variance in texture and an element of surprise (supposing you don't peek before you eat).

All in all, this has earned itself a place in my top ice creams & froyo and I'll definitely be buying this again sometime.

Black Bullet - Initial Thoughts

Lets see, a typical not OP main character, a loli, a sexual Sensei, giant monsters, blood and pervy references. Not a bad start to Black Bullet. At least this first episode explains the back story and makes me want to continue the series unlike Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (will post the first episode review soon). As usual this episode introduces the main characters, backstory and overall plot, and a very very suspicious bad-guy.

Quite a cool logo, like the way they used Kanji and Kana.

Characters

So far this episode just introduces the series' main characters, main villain and some supporting characters.

Rentaro Satomi, one of the main character of the series. A highschool student and a Promoter in Tendo Civil Security, he was involved in the war between the Gastrea and humans at a young age. His parents assumingly died in the war, currently living with Enju (his personal loli).

Euji Aihara, a primary school student as well as being a Cursed Child and Rentaro's Initiator. Constantly calling Rentaro her "Fiance" and annoying him always. She seems quite close to Rentaro for reasons we will find out in later episodes.

Kagetane, a mysterious masked character who serves as the series' main villain. Not a lot is known about him for now apart from the fact that he doesn't seem to die even after getting his neck twisted around.

Animation

The animation for this series is actually quite good, the gore and the monsters' movements are all very swift and smooth and makes the action scenes something to watch.

Here comes the spider......
Here lies the spider.

Rentaro's personal loli....

Best scene in the episode. XD

Music

The opening theme is "black bullet" by fripside, the opening theme is quite good, fits the show quite well music wise. I do like some fripside songs and this one isn't bad, just nothing particularly outstanding or special. The ending theme is Tokohana by Nagi Yanagi. I love her songs and this song doesn't sound too bad. The song was interrupted by the main character and others talking and giving the back story of the series so I will have to listen to it properly next episode.

Overall

Overall this episode is fairly entertaining, a good start in introducing the plot, main characters and rising some questions. Going to continue watching it to see how the story develops.

Captain Earth - Initial Thoughts

New season, New anime, this season we have a few anime series which look promising. One of the first series which caught my eye to watch was Captain Earth. Despite the unusual name (after watching the first episode it somehow makes a little sense),  the first episode really makes me want to continue with the series. It not only introduces the main characters and overall plot, but rises a few important and interesting questions.

The logo is quite cool I thought

Characters

So far in this episode we are introduced to the main character the most and some supporting characters who will come in in the later episodes.

Daichi Manatsu, a second-year high school student who sees a weird round rainbow floating in the sky above Seed Island one day and decides to investigate by himself. He has seen this rainbow before (with Teppei Arashi), and, with the memories of his father's mysterious death and an encounter of a mysterious boy and girl, he arrives on the island while the alarm of a building labeled "Earth Engine" is going off.

Someone asks him "Are you a captain?" just as robotic intruders from Uranus called "Kiltgang" arrive. The battle around the shining stars is about to begin.

Teppei Arashi, a 17-year-old boy who harbors powers beyond those of humans, as well as a sense of alienation. He is the mysterious boy Daichi met along with Hana when they were all younger.
Hana Muto, nothing is known about her so far apart from she first appeared in a glass ball full of liquid dormant until Daichi 'awoke' her.

We are also introduced to the amazing main mecha in this series, Livlaster. At first I thought the design looked off but after the first transformation and the epic docking sequence, I immediately fell in love with it. A mixture of Heroman and Transformers.

Animation

The animation for this series looks promising, the colouring and details (especially the scenery shots) look amazing. Need to watch a few more episodes to have a final judge.

Music

Music wise, the opening theme is by Believers High by Flumpool. Surprisingly it's the band's first time on doing a theme song for an anime series considering they are quite popular in Japan. The music fits this episode as the ending song so well. I have yet to see how well it works as an opening theme when the second episode comes out. The OST is good too, fits the scenes well, nothing too special, but I would say better than a typical anime OST.

Overall

Overall a fantastic first episode and introduction to the series, I look forward very much to continuing with this series. Looking very promising.

[MV] Mad Clown(매드클라운) - Without You(견딜만해) (Feat. Hyolyn(효린))

There's something that makes me always associate Mad Clown with break ups, probably because of his song Stupid in Love that I listened to countless times once upon a time.
His newest song features Hyorin from SISTAR once again talking about break ups. It has the classic Mad Clown style rap making up the verses and brings in Hyorins unique voice for the chorus. Although a sad song, its still really catchy and the lyrics always give me the #feels.

Have a listen and hopefully you'll give it a thought and enjoy it.

6-Way Tie. The Dream

The EU LCS was so close in its standings that there was a possibility of a 6-way tie for 1st place. This would have resulted in many more matches just to settle the ties. Somehow, it all worked out and SK Gaming took first, surprising many people. I was expecting them to take mid table with Roccat but they showed they could pull through.

Another big suprise was Fnatic managing to take second place even with their 8 loss streak. Rekkles played superbly throughout this season. Actually an AD Carry in this tank meta.

On the other hand, I expected Gambit to go no lower than 3rd. They were maintaining a very good spree until their final 2 weeks where it went down hill.. Unlucky.

Alliance is another team I was excited about. They had a poor start but it was expected as they were a newly formed team. I expect to see them stand strong throughout the summer split.

NA is of course not over yet but the EU playoffs is looking exciting.
